My pain specialist recommended Claire as part of my treatment for chronic joint pain. I have a history of yo-yo dieting and work in an industry where rich foods and wine are a frequent inclusion in my life. This has impacted on my health with joint pain increasing, disturbed sleep patterns and a not so high self esteem.
From the outset Claire has been supportive yet firm in the direction I needed to take to assist my journey.
Two of the areas I have worked with Claire have been in adjusting my diet to speed up my sluggish metabolism in order to drop kilos and centimeters. The first surprise was changing the fats that I was including in my diet to the ‘good’ fats such as butter, coconut oil and full cream yoghurt, as well as oily fish. Wine intake as I expected was reduced and vegetables increased; to my dismay bread was not allowed but on the plus side cheese and dark chocolate were.
I have lost 10 kilos and centimeters from all over approximately the last 3 months, my pain is still there but vastly reduced, my sleep patters have improved as has my self esteem. I still have a bit more to go but feel very positive that I will get there and maintain this lifestyle through Claire’s support and teaching- one of which is by planning for the work functions I cannot avoid attending.
She is a great motivator through her positivity and looking for alternative solutions in all areas bar allowing me to go back to bread. I am more than happy to recommend Claire for anyone needing a guiding hand towards a healthier lifestyle that dare I say once you get into the practice of it is not so difficult.
